POLICE were called after a report that a man had threatened his wife and her friend with a knife.
Blackburn magistrates heard when officers arrived Krzysiek Gozdzek had left the scene but they located him at another property still in possession of the knife.
Gozdzek, 37, of Monmouth Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to possessing a knife in a public place. He was remanded on bail until November 17 for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Janice Vallance, prosecuting, said police were told Gozdzek had threatened his wife and her friend before leaving his home address threatening to harm himself.
Deputy District Judge Ian Barnes said a pre-sentence report was clearly required.
“Possession of a knife in any circumstances is always serious,” he said.
