A MAN was caught driving a HGV without a seatbelt twice over a three day period.
Joshua David Barnes, of Earnsdale Avenue, Darwen, was originally caught driving a DAF truck without a seatbelt on March 2, 2021 on the A666 Bolton Road.
Just three days later, on March 5, 2021, Barnes, 29, was caught again without a seatbelt in the same vehicle - on the same stretch of road near Huntington Drive, Darwen - and both cases have now been dealt with in court.
Lancashire Constabulary informed Preston magistrates of the case details, and it was ultimately decided that a fine should be issued for both offences.
For the first offence, Barnes was fined £344, while a further £310 was added for the second offence.
He has until October 20 to pay a total of £654 in full.
