An Audi driver high on cannabis and cocaine was arrested after swerving between lanes.

The motorist was also found to have an expired licence, which didn't go down too well with traffic officers.

On Saturday afternoon, police stopped the Audi A6 on the Bay Gateway in Lancaster after they observed the car displaying poor lane discipline.

The driver was handed a roadside drugs wipe, which he failed.

He was subsequently arrested.

A police spokesperson said: "This Audi A6 was sighted by HO36 on the Bay Gateway, Lancaster, displaying poor lane discipline.

"Vehicle stopped and driver failed a drug wipe for cannabis and cocaine.

"Driver also found to have an expired licence.

"Driver arrested."
