A teenager has been served with a section 59 warning after he was caught pulling donuts in Asda car park.
The 18-year-old was driving his mum's car, which has now been seized by the police.
Officers in Rawtenstall received reports on Friday night of dangerous and inconsiderate driving in the town, which included in the car park at the Asda store.
The driver of the car, pictured here on the back of a recovery vehicle, was located and served with a warning, but after finding out that his mother was actually the registered keeper, and the driver had been reported previously for anti-social driving, the car was seized.
A spokesperson for the police said: "An 18-year-old male, who was the driver of this vehicle, was located and served with a section 59 warning after reports of dangerous and inconsiderate driving in Rawtenstall, such as doing donuts in the Asda car park.
"The vehicle has now been seized by officers.
"Unbeknown to his mother, who is actually the registered keeper of the vehicle, this was the second occasion he had been caught driving in an anti-social manner and therefore the car has been recovered and offender dealt with accordingly."
