A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged in connection with an £80,000 robbery.
Gordon Hopkins, 44, of Spen Walk, Leeds, is charged with robbing cash in transit security guard Anthony Hughes outside a newsagents on September 13 and possession of a machete in Manchester Road, Haslingden.
A second man, whose identity is known, is still being sought by the police.
Hopkins was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court where he will appear on November 18.
