A MAN who was found in possession of suspected spice and crack cocaine has been 'dealt with accordingly'.

Plain clothes police officers conducted an operation in Blackburn town centre last night (October 14) in an attempt to crack down on illegal drug supply.

An officer witnessed what appeared to be a drug deal and one man was subsequently searched and found to have a quantity of what is thought to be spice, along with crack cocaine on his person.

Blackburn with Darwen Police said: "Officers from the Blackburn neighbourhood policing team have tonight conducted a plain clothes operation around Blackburn town centre, concentrating on the supply of illegal drugs.

"After an officer has witnessed what appeared to be a drug deal, one male was searched and a quantity of suspected spice and crack cocaine has been located. The male has since been dealt with accordingly.

"We will continue to crack down on the use and supply of these illegal substances and as always, if you have any information that you think may assist, please don’t hesitate in letting us know."
