OFFICERS investigating a series of incidents in a town centre have spoken to a man who they believe can help them with their enquiries.

Earlier on today, Tuesday, Lancashire police launched an appeal after several women reported concerning behaviour involving a man in and around Blackburn.

They have now identified and spoken to a man in relation to their investigation.

A spokesman said: “After investigating a number of reports of a man attempting to grab women in Blackburn, we have identified a man we want to speak to and he is now assisting our enquiries.

“We are not looking for anyone else in connection with our investigation. As a precaution, increased patrols will remain in place over the coming days. Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.”
