Two people had to be rescued after getting stuck in the sand on Monday lunchtime.
Emergency services, including the coastguard from Morecambe, were called out on Monday to assist with the rescue between Arnside and Jenny Brown's Point.
Working alongside colleagues from Arnside and South Lakes Coastguard Rescue Team and Knott-End Coastguard Rescue Team, they rescued two people who had become stuck on the sands.
The people were extracted with help from fire crews before being handed over to paramedics.
A spokesperson for the Morecambe Coastguard Rescue Team said: "The group were very well equipped and were able to give an accurate location to the emergency services.
"They had come across an isolated patch of very soft sand and mud.
"Remember if in danger on or around our coastline call 999 and ask for the coastguard."
