Police are seeking the man in these CCTV images after another man was threatened 'with a machete' and robbed while on-board a train.

The robbery took place on-board a train travelling between Preston and Chorley on August 31, and today, police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak with in connection with the incident.

At around 5.30am on Tuesday August 31, the victim and a man boarded a train at Preston station.

Lancashire Telegraph:

The victim took a seat on-board the service and a short while later the man sat next to him and told him he had a machete on him and that he would use it if the victim didn’t comply.

He then asked the victim to hand over his bank cards and PIN numbers, which he did through fear.

Both the man and the victim got off the train at Chorley train station.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.
