One of Lancashire's most wanted men arrested for assault and weapon possesion
A CRIMINAL who has been on the run from police for months has been arrested.
Recce Murgatroyd, 22, of no fixed address, was picked up over the weekend in Padiham.
He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, section 18 assault, affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
He had previously been wanted on prison recall and will be recalled in due course.
Murgatroyd has featured in the Lancashire Telegraph’s list of the county’s most wanted men for several months and more recently in Operation Hunter, a campaign which has been running to target Lancashire’s most wanted criminals.
He remains in custody at this time.
A police spokesman thanked the public for their cooperation.
