A DRIVER has been fined after he crashed his car and then left the scene.
Once the case was heard in court, Kenneth Grant, of Sandon Terrace, Blackburn, admitted that he had crashed his car on Billy Lane in Hebden Bridge before driving away without leaving any details.
He also failed to present himself at the local police station to report that the accident had taken place, as must be done within a 24-hour period of the incident.
Dealing with his case at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court, Magistrates the 37-year-old was ordered to pay £239 and endorsed his driving licence with eight points.
The figure was made up of a £120 fine, £34 fee to fund victim services and costs of £85.
The costs and fine must be paid by October 15.
