A MAN on a scooter was found to be carrying a 'significant' amount of Class A drugs last night.
The man was spotted by the police while acting suspiciously in the Bank Hall area of Burnley.
At the time, he was riding a scooter while neighbourhood policing team officers were on patrol and tried to stop him.
A police spokesperson said: "When stopped the male tried to run, however he was quickly detained by officers from our Immediate Response and Task Force teams.
"The male was found to be in possession of a significant amount of what was suspected to be class A drugs and was subsequently arrested.
"The scooter was also seized for no insurance."
