A man is set to appear in court at the end of the month in connection with caravan, tractor and trailer theft.

John Hindle was arrested on suspicion of theft of a caravan from Chatburn in April.

He was then arrested and interviewed again that same month in relation to theft of a tractor from Whalley and a trailer from Langho.

The incidents all took place between April 1 and April 8 this year.

Following his arrests, he was released under investigation while officers carried out further enquiries.

Since then, Hindle has been charged with the thefts, and was further charged with two counts of criminal damage, which occurred when the caravan was stolen from Chatburn.

A spokesperson for the police said: "In April 2021 John Hindle was arrested on suspicion of theft of a caravan from Chatburn.

"He was further interviewed that same month in relation to the theft of a tractor from Whalley and a trailer from Langho.

"All of these incidents took place between April 1 and April 8.

"Hindle was released under investigation whilst officers from the Rural Task Force conducted a lengthy investigation.

"The case was submitted to CPS, who have authorised charges for all of these offences.

"Further to this, they have authorised two charges of criminal damage, which occurred during the incident where the caravan was stolen from Chatburn."

Hindle will appear at Blackburn Magistrates on October 28.
