An independent bookshop in Clitheroe will be hosting a ‘Meet the Author’ event to celebrate National Bookshop Day.

Zoe Channing owner of Number 10 Literature & Lifestyle based on Castlegate said she keen to raise awareness of local authors and encouraging people to buy books from an independent bookshop instead of just ordering online.

She said: “Being able to have conversations about books, reading habits and new authors makes such a difference for the customer. I can provide bespoke recommendations for birthdays, gifts and Christmas for even the most difficult person to buy for.”

Lancashire Telegraph:

Authors from across Lancashire who have written historical fiction, fantasy, lifestyle, poetry, crime fiction and children’s stories will be taking part. Among them will be Oscar de Muriel who is signed to Penguin Publishing.
