AN ACCOUNTANCY firm has renamed one of the key areas of its business to better reflect what the company now does.

PM+M says that renaming its wealth management arm "PM+M Financial Planning Ltd" encompasses a wider range of services.

The company, which has offices in Greenbank Technology Park, Challenge Way, Blackburn and Waterfold House, Waterfold Business Park Bury

also says that this is in line with its ongoing growth strategy.

Partner Anthony Keen said: "As a business, we constantly strive to find new ways of providing our clients with the most efficient solutions for their long-term financial planning goals.

"After much research and in-depth consultation, we decided that the term ‘wealth management’ was no longer a fair representation of what we do as it has connotations of being something only relevant to high-net-worth individuals.

"Our passion is helping everyone access sound advice so they can plan for a better future and ultimately achieve more, whatever that might be."

Mr Keen will head up a team of 12 on the re-dubbed financial planning arm which, PM+M says, will provides a broad range of advisory services which cover pensions, investments, tax and estate planning, lifetime cashflow planning and protection to both individuals and businesses across Bury, Lancashire and the North West.

The team will work alongside PM+M’s tax, corporate finance, accountancy, and payroll specialists.

According to Mr Keen, the name change has been announced as PM+M continues to pursue its growth strategy over the coming years.

Part of this has already been realised, with new apprentices having joined the firm in both its Blackburn and Bury offices.

The company currently has over £300milliom worth of funds under management and says that it expects that to grow by 35 per cent in the next two years, while also recruiting at adviser and paraplanner levels.
