A GREAT-great-grandmother has had her coronavirus booster jab and urged everyone else eligible to do the same.
Mary Greaves, aged 102, had her third vaccination at Blackburn Cathedral.
Having survived the Second World War, rationing and other deprivations she has no intentions of succumbing to Covid-19 this winter.
Mrs Greaves, who lives in the Kingsway assisted living facility on Greenhurst Place in Blackburn, is encouraging anyone offered the Covid-19 jab to have it.
She said: "Everyone should have the vaccine."
Her son Stanley Frost said: "Mum is very forthright nowadays and says exactly what she thinks."
Mrs Greaves, born Mary Thorpe on May 26 1919 and who has lived in Blackburn all her life, spent her 101st birthday in isolation because of coronavirus.
This year her family had a small family celebration at the Aspinall Arms, Mitton, for her 102nd in June.
Mrs Greaves was born at Bower Street, Mill Hill, Blackburn, the seventh of 11 siblings.
She two sons Stanley and Denis, three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
