An energy company has opened its doors to the public to help motorists with the fuel shortage crisis.

Craggs Energy, who are based in Hebden Bridge and have a fuel filling station in Padiham, have announced this morning that due to the current situation, they will be extending the use of the filling station from businesses only to the general public.

And to accommodate motorists needs the company has extended their opening times.

The filling station will only be able to supply the public with diesel and not petrol, with the yard being suitable for cars, vans, and HGVs.

Customers can pay by card or use a Keyfuel or UK fuel card.

A spokesperson for Craggs Energy said: "Owing to the current situation, we have extended our audience from businesses only to the general public and extended our opening times to accommodate.

"We’ve been supporting emergency services this morning as many local stations either have a limit on usage or are completely empty."

Craggs Energy's Padiham filling station is located at Wyre Street near Tesco and will be open until 8pm.
