Drivers are being urged to be more careful in the wet weather following a crash on the M6.
All lanes were closed this morning (Monday September 27) following an accident southbound near Junctions 31a involving this Skoda SUV.
Lancashire Road Traffic Police posted: "The weather condition are causing lot of issues this morning including this RTC on the M6 junctions 31a-31. Two lanes are closed whilst us and Highways North West get it cleaned up. Please slow down and drive to the conditions."
"This incident has now cleared and the carriageway fully reopened however residual heavy traffic remains."
Highways North West said there was still slow moving traffic on the approach from Broughton Interchange M6 and M55 adding 45 minutes on top of normal journey times.
