A young male was arrested police found him carrying a knife.
Colne and West Craven police have asked parents if they know what their children are doing after dealing with a number of anti-social complaints from a group of youths in Colne town centre.
Police have been dealing with the group again this evening after also responding to a call that one member of the same group was carrying a knife last night (September 20).
Police searched the young male and found him to be carrying a knife and he was arrested.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Parents, do you know where your kids are and what they are doing?
“Tonight we have been dealing with several reports of youths behaving in an anti-social manner on Colne Town Centre.
“Last night, whilst dealing with the same group, we stopped and searched a male who was part of the group after receiving intelligence that he was carrying a knife.
“The search revealed that he was indeed carrying a knife, and he was therefore arrested for this offence.
“Please be mindful about where your children are and consider having relevant conversations with them about their behaviour and their safety.”
