A BURNLEY bakery has been selected as a finalist at a prestigious national trade awards.

The British Bakery Awards celebrates excellence across the industry and CherryTree Bakery, who offer a popular bespoke premium service, hit all the right notes with the judges and secured one of three places in the final of the ‘Bakery Manufacturer of the Year’ category.

Described by the panel as "very impressive", the judges were blown away by CherryTree’s fantastic product quality and ability to build great customer relationships with clients such as national supermarket brands, and Costa Coffee who CherryTree have worked with for the past twelve years.

Mark Beaumont, managing director at CherryTree Bakery, said: "To be recognised in the British Bakery Awards is a fantastic accolade and one that celebrates the whole team’s hard work and dedication.

"Not only did the judges love our products, they also complimented our commitment to staff training at all levels, business planning and investment in our Billington Road factory facilities.

"To be recognised alongside the likes of Morrisons and Marks and Spencer is a huge achievement, and to bring the award home for Burnley would be the cherry on the top."

The winners of The British Bakery Awards 2021 will be announced in a glittering award ceremony on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Royal Lancaster, London.
