A man was arrested for a second time by police after spitting in a custody sergeant's face.
The male, who was first apprehended on a train between Lancaster and Preston after he threatened a revenue protection officer, was taken to custody and upon being processed spat at the custody sergeant, resulting in officers arresting him again for an assault on an emergency worker.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Male arrested for threatening behaviour toward a revenue protection officer on a train between Lancaster and Preston.
"Further arrested for assault on an emergency worker after he spat at the custody sergeant.
"Released under investigation as enquiries are ongoing."
