HUNDREDS of fake cigarettes and packets of tobacco were found inside a car driving into an East Lancashire town.
Police officers asked the driver of a black Ford Fiesta to stop on Sunday evening, as they were seen entering Blackburn.
Inside they discovered dozens of packets of fake and duty-free cigarettes and tobacco.
A picture uploaded to social media shows dozens of cartons of various brands of cigarettes and pouches of what appears to be Amber Leaf and other rolling tobaccos.
A spokesman said “This vehicle was stopped tonight entering Blackburn. On the front seat was a large amount of Fake and duty-free cigarettes/tobacco. All has been seized and will be forwarded to the HMRC and Trading standards along with the drivers details for them to investigate.”
