A fire crew has asked people to make space for emergency vehicles after struggling to attend a fire last night.

Blackburn fire station has asked people to leave space for their engines after struggling to get through parked cars to a fire.

A spokesperson for the station said: “Please leave space for our fire engines.

“Last night Red Watch struggled to get past parked cars to a fire we’d been called to.

“Thinking about emergency access when you park could save lives in your neighbourhood.”
