After over a year of being stuck cooking for yourself at home, it’s no surprise that people are looking for something new to delight their tastebuds. Papa's Smoke Hut could just be the answer, serving delicious food from their exciting new menu for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home, but without all of the meal prep.

As with most businesses up and down the country, the pandemic has had a big effect on the way in which Papa’s is now operating, but that doesn’t mean the team give anything less than their absolute best for each and every order. Having only just reopened after being forced to remain shut for most of the pandemic due to the restrictions, they’re ready and waiting to welcome back their customers once again.

Speaking to Martin, manager of Papa’s Smoke Hut, gives a real insight into how the last year has been for them.

Lancashire Telegraph:

“We took stock of what we had at Papas and decided to make some real changes and realign our focus on what we really wanted to achieve and what we wanted to deliver to our guests," said Martin. "We really want to immerse our guests from the moment they arrive, so we have a huge focus on our music, environment, service and food.”

And this dedication to producing the best experience possible for their guests extends effortlessly to their food as well, making the decision to focus on a more precise menu in order to deliver delicious food each and every time.

As Martin explains, “We have reduced the menu size by around 75% so we can really focus on the quality of our product. This allows us to make sure every burger, cocktail, milkshake and piece of smoked meat is as good as possible for when it reaches the guest.”

The quality of their dishes is also reflected in their staff; with manager Martin and chef Jason sharing 30 years of experience within the hospitality industry, they’re ready for any eventuality and share their focus on providing their guests with a brilliant experience. With countless hours spent developing their rubs, smoking times, sauces, cocktails, hard shakes and even curating their playlist with the utmost care, it’s little wonder that every dish is a thrill to the senses.

Lancashire Telegraph:

“We want to draw on that as well as our own beliefs and standards to achieve something special and really offer the people of Darwen and Blackburn a high quality, laid back, fun dining experience.” Says Martin. “We want to make sure that we’re proud to put our name on anything we sell.”
