This fascinating early photograph shows one of Accrington's 'lost' cinemas.
The Kings Hall cinema, complete with its striking entrance, stood on Whalley Road, Accrington. It had actually started life as Primitive Methodist Chapel so quite what church elders would have made of it being converted into a cinema, the Picturedrome, in 1912 is anyone's guess.
By 1915 it was re-named The Kings Hall and this photo was taken in 1925 when the film being shows was a Western, No Man's Law. The cinema closed in 1961
