Two people have been charged after a stop and search saw police find wraps of class A drugs before finding more drugs in a house search.
Pendle task force conducted a stop and search on a woman on Basil Street in Colne, finding numerous ‘street deal wraps’ of crack cocaine and heroin.
Police then conducted a house search where they found a significant amount of class A drugs and drug supply items.
Amy Macsween and Micheal Watson of Curzon Street, Colne have both been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and have been remanded in police custody.
Last night, a spokesperson for the police said: “This morning the Pendle taskforce had cause to stop and search a female on Basil Street in Colne.
“Numerous street deal wraps of crack cocaine and heroin were located and after a house search, a significant amount of class A drugs and drug supply Items were found.
“A male and female were arrested on suspicion of drug supply and after enquiries throughout the day and evening the crown prosecution have since authorised charges.
“Amy Macsween and Micheal Watson of Curzon Street, Colne have both been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and will be remanded in police custody until court tomorrow morning.”
