INTERESTED members of the public can join the joint annual meeting of the NHS Blackburn with Darwen and East Lancashire Clinical Commission Groups.

It will be held on September 22 online via Microsoft Teams because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The two CCGs commission healthcare across East Lancashire and look after primary care services such as GP surgeries and pharmacies.

The meeting will review patient care during 2020/21 before discussing the future and the challenges it will bring, including the response and recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

It will also present the two organisations' annual accounts for 2020-21 with a focus on how and where they spent the money received from government for health care locally.

Those who wish to join the meeting should register by 5pm on September 21 and questions to the meeting should be emailed to the CCGs by 5pm the day before.
