PETER Kay returned to Blackpool Pleasure Beach yesterday.

Posting to their Twitter account, Blackpool Pleasure Beach posted some pictures of Kay enjoying his time at the amusement park.

In the picture Kay is pictured wearing a checkered top and hat – a recurring theme in his Blackpool Pleasure Beach photos.

The comedian can be seen posing with Aardman Animations characters, Wallace and Gromit.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach also shared snaps of the trips he made to the park back in 2015 and 2016.

A spokesperson for Blackpool Pleasure Beach said: “It was great to have Peter Kay join us yesterday and true to style he wore one of his Blackpool Pleasure Beach shirts!

"Here's Peter from 2015, 2016 and 2021!”

Many people spotted the 48-year-old comedian at the amusement park and documented their experience on Twitter.

One person commented: “I actually saw him! I remember thinking, ‘that bloke looks like Peter Kay’.”

Nicola Wainwright said: “Lovely to see Peter Kay in Blackpool today looking happy and having fun with his family.”

Others wish they could have caught a glimpse of him.

One person said: “I would have paid triple just to get a glimpse of him.

“Absolute legend. Best entertainer of my lifetime.”

Another recalled seeing the Bolton celeb back in 2016.

They wrote: “I worked on/operated Wallace & Gromit in 2016 and Peter and family were so polite.

“He came across as very quiet (definitely not like his stage persona) but I remember he told us his funfair dismissal joke.

“He loves Blackpool Pleasure Beach.”

Kay isn’t often seen in the public and hasn’t performed on stage since 2017.

Earlier this month, Kay performed two special live shows at the Manchester 02 Apollo in aid of a terminally ill student; this came after the comedian hadn’t performed on stage since 2017.

The live events were announced in aid of Laura Nuttall, from Barrowford, who was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumour, in October 2018.
