A Channel 4 show is looking for dog-lovers to take part in their brand new series.

The Dog House will return to our TV screens for a third season and producers are now wanting anyone in East Lancashire who thinks they can offer a loving home to a rescue dog to get in touch.

The series is made with Wood Green, The Animals Charity in Cambridgeshire, who specialise in matching their rescue dogs with would-be owners.

The Dog House follows this process, getting to know the characters and histories of the rescue dogs, as well as an array of people from different walks of life and watching the beginnings of brand-new relationships between them.

A spokesperson for the Channel 4 show said: "We are currently searching for people who are thinking about rehoming a rescue dog, and who would be up for sharing their various reasons for doing so.

"In previous series', we found that there were many reasons people might be considering bringing a dog into their life – loneliness, extra company for a child, to encourage exercise, and to live in the moment more, to name but a few."

Viewers of The Dog House are first introduced to aspiring new owners and dogs in Wood Green’s care.

When a potential match is found, their first meeting is captured using fixed-rig cameras in a private ‘meeting pen’.

Series one captured the heart of the nation, with more than a million viewers, and has since been streamed internationally.
