HYNDBURN Council has given the go-ahead for a family house to be used as a residential care home for six residents.
The borough's planning department has issued a lawful development certificate for the property at 6 Blackburn Road, Rishton.
The property is a detached building set in a large garden area fronting Blackburn Road with two-storeys an attic and a cellar.
It can now be used as a residential home for six residents living as a single household and receiving care provided on a rota basis covering the 24 hour day. No staff will sleep at the premises.
The house had previously been a child development centre.
