One of the smashed bus shelters on the Burnley to Padiham bus route
ALMOST every bus shelter along the Padiham to Burnley route has been smashed overnight.
Over a two-mile stretch, glass can be seen shattered at each stop rendering them 'useless', according to Lancashire Police.
PC Chris McKee said: "Whoever has done this has caused thousands of pounds worth of damage and also rendered the shelters useless for those that need to use them. Almost every bus shelter from Padiham to Burnley has been damaged sometime in the early hours (August 9)."
The officer is appealing for anyone with CCTV footage or witnesses to this crime to contact him directly on 07811 849898.
