A FEW laps of the track took on a completely different meeting at Witton Park, Blackburn, in 1988.
An overnight downpour left the athletics track under two feet of water attracting a large number of gulls in the process.
You can see the partially-submerged cage used for the hammer, discus and shot on the left and on the right a steeplechase fence, ironically by the water jump, emerges from the flood.
The clubhouse and changing rooms were above the flood water.
