Officers discovered a stash of drugs in a vehicle which was left abandoned in Bacup following a pursuit.
Police in Rossendale said they had been patrolling in the Bacup area today (August 5) and saw what they suspected to be a drugs deal involving a VW Passat.
Rossendale Police posted: “Upon trying to stop the car, it made off from officers at high speed resulting in a short pursuit in Bacup. The car was travelling at speeds of around 70mph in a built-up area and was initially lost in the back streets.
“A short time later the vehicle was reported as being abandoned in the middle of the road and the driver had run off. Upon getting to the Passat officers found a drug dealing phone and a stash of drugs. Enquiries continue to identify the driver and the Passat has been seized.”
