Power cut
A number of homes in Kearsley have been left without power due to a cut.
Residents first reported around 2.45pm that they were without power, with Electricity North West engineers on the scene investigating the issue.
A total of 18 homes have been left without power around Clifton Street, with power not expected to be restored until 9.30pm this evening.
An Electricity North West spokesman said: "We are sorry you are experiencing a power cut. We are currently investigating the issue.
"The power cut in the area has been caused by an unexpected incident with the underground cable that provides electricity to properties."
