A man has been arrested after police found class A drugs 'secreted on his person'.
On Wednesday evening, officers from the Pendle task force apprehended a man on Hallam Road in Nelson.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs after a police search found him to be in possession of suspected narcotics.
When he was taken to custody, another search was carried out and officers discovered he had hidden more drugs somewhere in his body.
A police spokesperson said on Wednesday: "Tonight officers from the Pendle task force arrested a male on Hallam Road Nelson, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
"The male was searched and found in possession of suspected class A drugs.
"The male was escorted to custody where further class A drugs were located secreted on his person.
"We will not tolerate the supply of drugs and we will continue to target those people involved."
