Is cardboard the building material of the future asks our correspondent tongue in cheek
IN walking through the Mall I noticed in the former Mr Simm’s sweet shop that an artist is building a model of Blackburn out of cardboard.
No doubt this will be taken on board by Blackburn Council for the next generation of house builds as it’s cheap. Then will come clothing manufacturers and stores offering garments made from newspaper so we can all dress with the Times.
With a number of empty units in the town, there is still the opportunity to upgrade the pound shop mentality with a still thrifty £2.50 shop.
