A person suffered 'severe injuries' falling from a bridge on the M65 last night - police have confirmed.
Part of the M65 between junction 3 and 4 was closed last night while police and ambulance crews dealt with the incident.
The ambulance service and police have confirmed that a person fell from the bridge and suffered severe injuries.
The ambulance service said: "We did attend and at the patient went to hospital with severe injuries.
"We were called to the scene by police at 7.45pm."
The motorway was closed on both sides for two hours, with the eastbound lanes opening at 10pm and the westbound lanes opening 30 minutes later.
