A man was arrested on the A56 near Haslingden after being caught more than five times over the legal alocohol limit to drive a vehicle.
The driver gave a breath reading of 183 in the roadside test near the Tesco Haslingden slip road.
Officers posted this image and said: "Apologies for the delay for the driver due to this. #dontthinkiwouldbeconsciousneverminddrivingacar"
The alcohol limit for drivers is 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath.
