Police are urging drivers to 'drive to the conditions' following a crash on the M66.
Emergency services dealt with an incident near Bury overnight.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Traffic Officers posted this image of a BMW on the southbound carriageway.
Police said: “Single vehicle minor injury RTC attended earlier by #ME18 and #ME58 on the M66. Vehicle aquaplaned after hitting standing water at speed, collided with the central reservation and came to rest after colliding with the Armco barrier. Drive to the conditions!”
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) said the crash happened between Junction 2 and Junction 3.
The incident resulted in a minor injury to an occupant and has now been cleared following earlier lane closures.
