Police have discovered and seized six stolen caravans from a travellers site.
Overnight on Tuesday, a caravan was stolen from a storage unit in Euxton.
On Wednesday officers from the Tac Ops team paid a visit to a huge travellers site containing dozens of caravans which is currently pitched on Ribbleton Park at the junction of Blackpool Road and New Hall Lane in Preston.
Along with the dogs unit, police were able to locate the caravan stolen from Euxton along with the car used to steal it.
They also discovered five other stolen caravans, which were subsequently seized.
A spokesperson for the police said: "After a theft from a caravan storage overnight in Euxton TacOps paid a visit to the travellers pitched on Ribbleton Park with the dogs unit and SVIU.
"One of the five stolen from Euxton was located plus the car used to steal it.
"Five other stolen caravans were also seized."
In what is believed to be a separate incident to the caravan seizure in Preston, Chorley police also discovered five stolen caravans, and arrested two men.
A spokesperson for Chorley police said: "Joint work with Cheshire and Merseyside police locating five stolen caravans. Two males now in custody - another very long day."
It has not been confirmed whether the two incidents are connected.
