An open-air cinema company is touring  the UK’s most incredible and scenic venues- and they’re stopping off at two Lancashire towns on the way.

During the school holidays, the Adventure Cinema tour is stopping in stunning venues up and down the country including heritage parks, iconic sports locations and even a picturesque medieval castle.

They have sought out the ultimate beauty spots to spend a sunny day or a balmy evening enjoying the magic of classic and timeless movies.

In Lancashire’s venues, Mamma Mia and The Greatest Showman are the two films being previewed.

In Lancashire, they are heading to Townley Park in Burnley and Stanley Park in Blackpool.

In both venues, picnics are welcome- so make sure to pack a tasty hamper and a comfy blanket to sit on.

Here are all the dates and movie screenings for each location:

Townley Park, Homles Street, Burnley

Burnley's biggest and most popular park, Towneley Park covers 180 hectares and features a traditional Victorian flower garden, plus Towneley Hall, a Grade I-listed art gallery and museum.

A visually stunning venue, it's the perfect launch pad for your magical cinema expedition.

Picnics are welcome and there won’t be any food and drink on site- so do make sure to bring your own.

Here are the films being shown:

The Greatest Showman sing-a-long (PG)
Date: Thursday 5 August, 9:15pm

Grease sing-a-long (PG)
Date: Friday 6 August, 9:15pm

Stanley Park, West Park Drive, Burnley

The Grade II-listed park, which opened in 1926, has been voted the best park in the UK for the second time in three years.

Stretching across 390 breath-taking acres, this oasis of elegance boasts a magical blend of architecture, horticulture and recreation.

Known across the land for its bandstand, boating lake and Italian gardens, this beautiful, tranquil place is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool seafront.

Picnics are welcome at the outdoor cinema event but guests are advised NOT to bring any glass.

Screenings will take place on the main events area in Stanley Park.
