A BEAUTY salon with a base of "amazing" customers and "fantastic" staff is up for sale.

Beauty Culture Bacup, on St James Street, Bacup was first opened by Christine Dolphin in 1991 and since then has grown into a busy and popular venue.

The Rossendale sale retains a full diary and busy schedule, however Ms Dolphin has taken the decision to sell after feeling life pulling her in a different direction.

She said: "I'll still be just down the road training people to do beauty and complimentary therapies but I'll be doing a bit less so that will be nice."

Turning to the reaction from customers she said: "It's been really good, we've had so many lovely comments."

Beauty Culture offers treatments including facials, eyelashes and eyebrows, sugaring, spray tanning, body treatments, nails and massages and is run with the help of four part time staff members.

The business is now on sale for £59,950 plus stock at evaluation and Ms Dolphin says that new owners will find an appreciative community and a ready made following of loyal customers.

Reflecting on her time running the business, she said: "What an amazing salon it has grown to be!

"I am deeply proud to say that myself, my fantastic team and our amazing clients, now friends, have created a very special, busy sanctuary.

"I count my blessings every day as I know many salons are very quiet at the moment and my heart goes out to them.

"Even after all the Covid 19 lockdowns, fear and restrictions we have a full diary and still feel very needed."

She added: "I will be forever grateful for all the love and lessons I have gained here and it will always always have a place in my heart."

Ms Dolphin hopes that the sale will attract a new owner with just as much enthusiasm as she has had.

She said: "Someone with passion and energy, who will put their own stamp on it and continue to love team Beauty Culture."
