The cause of a fire which set 20m of fencing alight is under investigation.
Fire crews were called to Margaret Street, Blackburn, just after 1am this morning (July 26) after 20 metres of fencing, spanning two houses was on fire.
Four engines from Blackburn, Hyndburn and Darwen attended and crews used breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Four fire engines from Blackburn, Hyndburn and Darwen attended a fire involving approximately 20m of fencing which spread to two houses.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
