TRIBUTES have been paid to a well-known bus driver who has died.

Grahame Slevin, of Brown Birks Road, Huncoat, passed away peacefully in the Royal Blackburn Hospital on July 18, aged 57.

During his life Grahame worked as a bus driver for many years for multiple companies.

In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed socialising and loved going for days out with his friends and enjoyed eating his favourite meal of fish and chips by the sea at Cleveleys.

He was also the chairman of the Brooks Club in Accrington and a member of the crown green bowling club for his bus company.

He also loved his caravan holidays, whilst back at home he liked watching TV, in particular old TV shows and James Bond films. He also loved collecting tools and gadgets.

Grahame was the dearly loved partner of 15 years of Julie, a much-loved stepfather of Charlotte, Michelle and Alan, a cherished grandad of 11 and a dear friend of Jean, who was like a mother to him. as well as many others – simply too many to mention.

Grahame will be very sadly missed by all his family and friends.

His funeral service will be held at 9.40am, on Thursday July 29, at Accrington Crematorium.

Family have requested no flowers but donations are being welcomed in Grahame’s memory for the RNLI or the North West Air Ambulance.
