A BLACKBURN law firm has added ten new members to its team ahead of what it anticipates will be a busy period.

Napthens, based in Darwen House Walker Office Park, Walker Road, says that over half of the recruits are to their conveyancing team, with the firm having received 4,800 instructions throughout the last quarter thanks in part to the Help to Buy scheme and Stamp Duty holiday.

The firm, which also has offices in Preston and Liverpool, says that its employment and HR and litigation teams have all also seen significant growth over the second quarter of 2021.

Napthens HR and operations director Nicola Mason said: "It’s been another positive quarter for growth at Napthens, both financially and for our teams as we have made new additions to a number of our departments.

"We are determined to provide the very best service possible for our clients and our success over the past financial year is another indicator that we’re doing things the right way.

The firm's new appointments include associate solicitor Laura Hartley-Williams, who now works with a selection of insolvency practitioners both in the North West and further afield advising on matters relating to realising assets and pursuing claims for the benefit of the insolvent estates and their creditors.

She has worked in law for over ten years and qualified as a solicitor in 2016 having spent most of her career working in Manchester and Cheshire.

Sara Barnes, Bethany McKay, Michelle Cunliffe and Gemma Calamela have also been appointed to the conveyancing team, while James Stephenson has joined Napthens’ commercial litigation team.

Property solicitor Clare Sollitt has joined the firm's specialist plot sales team with Jade Wilson who joined as a legal assistant and Blake Sale, who was appointed technical services manager, as part of Napthens' IT team.

Ms Mason said: "We’re delighted to have welcomed all of our new colleagues and look forward to seeing their careers develop and flourish with Napthens as they deliver the very best results for our clients."
