THE Lancashire Telegraph’s Pub of the Week is just the latest in a long line of awards for a top Blackburn wateringhole.

Last year, the Clifton Arms was crowned Pub of the Year in a national competition celebrating heroes of the pub-world during the coronavirus crisis.

They made it to the final seven of the Great British Pub Awards Pub Heroes 2020 back in August.

And in a glittering online ceremony in September, the Grimshaw Park pub was awarded the top accolade along with a share of £165,000.

So we have got in touch to find out the secret of their success.

The friendship and loyalty to others from this great community have led to creating a massive Clifton family. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Team Clifton.

I love every minute. The worst thing has been not being able to open and having our big Clifton community get-togethers

What are the reasons of your success?

The great community involvement throughout the years always looking out for others. We are involved with individuals and groups. People from several countries always get involved and support charity events we hold. The Clifton Arms is a great asset to the community with helping hands and listening ears without judgement
