The investment has breathed new life into the country pub, enhancing its original charm and character that local residents know and love.

Mr Davies said: "Welcoming locals back to the pub to see the transformation has been fantastic.

"After a difficult year, it's been great to see the community come back together and enjoy their new look pub.

"We're really excited for the future, and we can't wait for many great years to come at the Birley Arms."

Feature wallpaper and unique tiled flooring accompanied by reclaimed leather furniture, eclectic finishes, and cosy mood lighting have created a contemporary spin on a traditional pub look.

The investment has also transformed the pub's outdoor area, which now features a children's play area and stretch tent with planting, festoon lighting, and plenty of seating, creating a new space that can welcome up to 100 guests.

There is also a plethora of heating, allowing the space to be enjoyed all year round as well as its own screen showing all key sporting events.

Punch's Operations Director Neil Dawson said: "We're really pleased with what our investment has created here at the Birley Arms, and it's been fantastic to see the locals enjoying it once again.

"This is an established, well-loved pub and we're confident that together with Tony and Zoe the Birley Arms will continue to operate at the very heart of the community it serves."
