A DRUG dealer has been sentenced to spend the next 21 months behind bars after he was found in possession of a large amount of heroin and crack cocaine.
On January 6, officers from the Pendle Task Force arrested Adam Mullarkey following a stop search on Brunswick Street in Nelson.
The 18-year-old, who had previously been arrested for being in possession of Class A drugs, was again found with a large amount of heroin and crack cocaine.
As a result Mullarkey was remanded to prison where he has remained until sentencing.
On Monday Mullarkey, of Duke Street, was convicted to 21 months in prison.
A police spokesman said: “Drug dealing will not be tolerated in this area and we will make every effort to continue targeting those people that do.
“If you have any information regarding drug dealing please report it to your local neighbourhood policing team or alternatively report it via crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
