An aerial photo of Blackburn town centre from July 1990. The railway station is in the foreground with the buses on the Boulevard immediately behind it.
This was before the current shopping centre was built and you can make out the walkway over Ainsworth Street connecting the existing shopping centre to the market.
The curved white roof of the market hall is in the centre of the picture.
On the right of the picture the large light area is the roof of the recently-completed Morrison’s supermarket
