A MAN was arrested yesterday in relation to the theft of several Land Rover Freelanders.
Police in Rossendale sat that he has now been released under investigation while their investigation continues.
Officers from Rossendale Rural Task Force also took the opportunity to remind the public the remain vigilant.
A spokesperson said: "May I take this time to remind you if you own one of these vehicles to consider buying extra security devices such as a steering lock which will make your vehicle much less appealing.
"Park in a well lit area, consider CCTV and if possible block it in with another vehicle if on your driveway.
"Meanwhile we will be out proactively stopping Land Rovers so please don't be offended if you're stopped, we are only looking out for you and checking it hasn't been nicked."
